Bootleg Sessions V.4
So, the fourth and final Bootleg Sessions is being offered up for $5, not including shipping and handling. It's short, like the other ones, but it is also a fair bit cheaper. I enjoyed it, there are some shots of ridiculous track stands. I recommend it if you have five dollars.

What is riding responsibly?
http://www.grist.org/article/2011-01-18-what-does-it-mean-to-ride-a-bicycle-responsibly
"Biases also tend to color our perceptions of what is and isn't dangerous. Seeing someone on a bicycle in traffic can seem alarming no matter how legally or safely that person is riding, especially if you can't imagine yourself doing such a thing. But the devil you know is always more appealing -- and the 100 or so car-related deaths and many, many more injuries that happen in our country every day have come to seem so inevitable and mundane that most of us don't think twice about climbing into a car and setting off towards the freeway."

Being afraid to ride your bike
A 2009 review of the scientific literature found that the slight increase in risk from bicycle crashes is more than offset by the vast improvements in overall health and lifespan when you ride a bicycle for transportation. In fact, the health benefits of bicycling are nine times greater than the safety gains from driving instead.

Fixcraft Review
I ordered a Mallet Kit from fixcraft last week, and it arrived just a few days ago. It was packaged well.
As you can see, they hooked me up with a slew of stickers, as well as the spoke card thats featured on the banner (polo). I can't testify to its longevity, but everything seems sturdy. For the price, I would definitely recommend it, as normal ski poles are hard (for me at least) to come by. I will post in the future about how it holds up over time.

Critical Mass in Brazil
Unfortunatly, I'm opening up this blog with such a negative article. However, I think that this topic is very important to any cyclist who uses the roads.
Here is a link to an opinion piece in lieu of the Critical Mass: Brazil tragedy.
http://www.theurbancountry.com/2011/02/bicyclists-must-obey-laws-if-they-want.html
"... next time someone tells you that you don’t deserve to use the roads with your bicycle until bicyclists obey all the rules of the road, ask them when they last obeyed all the rules of the road. They will either become quiet, or they will be lying. "
